THE CRITIQUE PANEL
The Critique Panel is a permanent space of reflection and transdisciplinary research, organic with Alto Fest in which a miscellaneous group of researchers and artists is called to exercise a collective and multiperspective look on the Festival. The intent is raising again, putting into circulation, discussing, sharing, processing the matters raised by the festival. The Panel creates and looks after several projects (Residencies, Symposiums, publications, pedagogic projects), analyzing the ethic questions of the Festival through different research and creation every year. Our ambition is to let the festival become a workshop in which confronting the different perspectives, inviting the creators to publically formulate the ethic issues that underlie their own aesthetic research, letting them in dialogue with audience and researchers, in order to experiment the possible long term interactions among the everyday praxis of the actors participating in the event.
Providing this space of reflection and research and incentivizing a constant dialogue between the Panel and the artists, Alto Fest progressively emancipates from the function of mere “production” and “planning” of shows and artistic works, usually attributed to festivals, to foreshadow itself as an experimental space of sociality.
ACTIVITIES
POETIC AND VISUAL CREATION FOR AN IMAGINATIVE REQUALIFICATION OF EVERYDAY SPACES
A project by Alto Fest’s Critique Panel, in collaboration with the Istituto di Istruzione Superiore “Perito-Levi”, Eboli “Rewriting Spaces” is a place of inter-generational experimenting with processes of imaginative requalification for urban spaces. A place for mutual forma(c)tion gathering artists and young students from high school in the search for a shared new look at public and domestic spaces. Only an active look , patiently and constantly observing, can see the possibility to build beyond the confused state of abandon of the present time. “Rewriting spaces” aims to build this “active” vision, giving rise to a look that means a transformation, a re-drawing of reality, writing the maps of the possibilities of exploration, tracing the itineraries of a common path. The Atelier is inserted among artistic creation activities and critique reflections of Alto Fest 2014, International Festival of Performing Arts and Transdisciplinary Interventions for private spaces donated by the citizens, conceived and directed by TeatrIngestAzione. The Atelier is a doorway to the Festival and its themes, giving to students the possibility to walk through the reflections and creation processes that the Festival generates.
