Our House è l’esplorazione acustica di un appartamento. Una mappatura e una ridefinizione sonora di un luogo. I suoni sono eventi in costante riconfigurazione. L’ascolto e la ricerca dei suoni che ci circondano stimolano uno sguardo attento, forniscono informazioni sulla natura degli oggetti che ci circondano, sulle relazioni e il loro costante divenire. La ricerca, condotta insieme agli inquilini, si traduce in un’opera interattiva, un vero e proprio strumento musicale, un dispositivo aperto per comporre musica, una modalità per giocare con i suoni che abitualmente sfuggono alla nostra percezione.
La planimetria dell’appartamento, dotata di sensori, permette allo spettatore di interagire, miscelare e ricomporre la propria personale soundtrack dello spazio.
POLISONUM (ITA)
POLISONUM è un progetto di ricerca sonora sui luoghi. È reinventare lo spazio urbano, destrutturandolo, rompendo gli schemi e la routine, mettendo in relazione tutto quello che sfugge all’occhio umano. Il progetto nasce da una visione ludica di utilizzo degli ambienti urbani. L’idea è quella di costruire nuovi spazi sonori, le cui caratteristiche principali sono la breve durata, la mutazione permanente e la mobilità per osservare, percepire, vivere e abitare la città. Polisonum è stato recentemente selezionato per THE INDEPENDENT, un progetto di ricerca incentrato sull’identificazione e promozione degli spazi e del pensiero indipendente avviato lo scorso anno dal MAXXI Museo delle arti del XXI secolo di Roma.

Our House is the acoustic exploration of an apartment. A mapping and a sonic redefinition of a place. The sounds are events in a constant reconfiguration. The listening and research of the sounds that surround us stimulates an attentive gaze, and provide information on the nature of the objects that surround us, on the relations and their constant becoming. The research, carried out together with the tenants, translates itself into an interactive work, a real musical instrument, an open device to compose music, a way for playing with the sounds that usually escape our perception. The apartment planimetry, equipped with sensors, allows the viewer to interact, mix and rebuild its own personalised soundtrack of the space.
POLISONUM (ITA)
POLISONUM is a sound research project about places. It is about reinventing the urban space, deconstructing it, breaking the structures and routine, connecting all the things that escape the human eye. The project was born from an attempt to use urban environments in a playful way. The idea is to build new sonic spaces, whose main features are the short duration, the permanent mutation and the mobility to observe, perceive and live in the city. Polisonum has been recently selected for the THE INDEPENDENT, a research project focused on the identification and promotion of the spaces, and the independent thought . A project started last year by the MAXXI museum Museum of 21st century Arts of Rome.
